Mountain Biking Skills for Kids (3-12)

Dirtmasters mountain biking skills clinics are fun filled, volunteer run, practical  sessions that teach kids of all ages and abilities the skills that make mountain biking so much fun.

Sessions are presented by coaches who have achieved a minimum Level 0 MTBA coaching level.  With a strong safety focus, we teach fundamental skills such as braking, cornering and correct body position on bike.  Once the basics are mastered we progress to conquering obstacles, lifting front and back wheels, bunny hopping and more!

Our sessions are held approximately once a month, on the same day and at the same time as the club championship race.    Don’t have a mountain bike? That’s ok – any bike will do. We even have some mountain bikes for you to try but booking well prior to the event is essential by contacting the club to book a bike.

What you need to bring: a bike in good working order, helmet, water bottle and a parent.  You will also need to be an AusCycle member prior to the session.

Recently membership requirements have changed as we transition from MTBA accreditation to AusCycle. Please head to the membership section for more information.

PLEASE BRING A COPY OF YOUR MEMBERSHIP CONFIRMATION EMAIL TO THE SESSION.

Scott Cycles are generous sponsors of the Dirtmasters clinics, and provide vouchers which are awarded to random winners each session.
